There’s a moment when you suffer. You miss your people, you miss
your people, your land, and you want to go back.EndFragment
it was my turn to come and clean houses. And I did it.EndFragment

and I learned that and I lived that in this country because

when I was in Bolivia, I worked in an office. And when I came here,EndFragment
We’re always aware of our kids’ activities, of our whole family.
thinking about us just as we will always have them.
No matter how far away we are, there’s always that affection,
Of course we feel alone, but I know that they are always
We are always in touch.
Bolivians are really affectionate.
that love within the family.
If we’re not physically united, then we’re morally united.

So I visited a little bit the parents of my friends

And they said, “How could they leave? They left us alone why?"

I mean she’s still alive. I haven’t even lost her yet…EndFragment
But it’s really sad - when I gave birth to my daughter, my first daughter, EndFragment
I know that I have my husband by my side, but it’s not the same. EndFragment
It has been really exciting that we've had the opportunity in this country EndFragment
Our whole family was separated for almost 20 years. EndFragment
to have opportunities, to be well working, to be good financially. EndFragment
After all that time, we reunited the whole family; EndFragment

I have economic stability but I don’t have family. EndFragment

Mi relación con mi abuela se podría decir que es esporádica.

pero luego veía desde el lado positivo quien mas se iba a quedar con mi mama?
que la vi fue cuando tenia 2 años, justo antes de venir.
Si me acuerdo de estar extremadamente triste y celosa
el la pudo ver y yo todavía no la he visto.

I just feel really sad about the fact that I couldn't have that because I wasn't born here; I'm not a citizen…At one point, I really really really wanted to be a citizen because I thought that they were just better, but I was completely wrong.
